Adapting our Studio for Social Media : And how we are Leveraging New Platforms in 2023

Social media has revolutionised the photography market by creating an entirely new way to showcase, market, and sell our content. From Instagram to Facebook and Snapchat, creatives have the ability to reach potential customers around the world with just the click of a button. The innovative technology of social media platforms has allowed photographers to quickly and easily share their work, get feedback from potential customers, and market their services.

See below an example of the kind of content we are now creating for our customers

We are now able to post our images, give followers a glimpse into our process, and even offer promotions to potential customers. This level of access to potential customers has enabled us to increase our customer base and reach a larger audience. Additionally, social media has also made it easier for us and creatives to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques. We can now research and learn new techniques and styles to further refine our work. We can also collaborate with other creatives around the world to create unique and creative content.

However, there are also some negative aspects to social media usage in the photography market. The increased competition and proliferation of digital images has caused prices to drop significantly, which can make it difficult for creatives to make a living. Additionally, the “like” culture of social media can cause us to obsess over getting likes or followers, rather than focusing on creating quality work.

A glimpse from our Studio Social Media

Overall, social media has had both positive and negative effects on the photography market. While it has enabled us to quickly and easily reach potential customers, it has also led to increased competition and lower prices. As with any industry, photographers must find a balance between utilising the positive aspects of social media while avoiding the potential pitfalls.

One way we can adapt to the changing landscape is to offer new services to our client base. For example, we can provide photo editing services, video production services, or even offer classes, workshops, and tutorials to help our customers learn new techniques and refine their own skills. Adapting our current offering to sit well in the Social Media space. We are trialling retainer offers for us to provide our customers with imagery and content to upload themselves or manage their platform for them. This is a service that we are excited to be offering in 2023 to all our existing client base.

In conclusion, social media has had a significant impact on the photography market. It has enabled us to quickly and easily reach potential customers, stay up-to-date on trends and techniques, and develop our own personal brand. However, the increased competition and proliferation of digital images has caused prices to drop significantly. To stay competitive, we are committed to find ways to offer new services and add value to our customers which we are proud and pleased to announce that we have.

Our studio collaborating with a new partnered Social Media Agency is an excellent way to increase visibility of our studio. Working together, the two entities can create dynamic and creative content to share on social media to engage potential customers and build the photography studio’s brand. Our partnered agency can provide expertise in developing and executing effective social media campaigns, whilst our Studio can offer its creative vision and quality images to make the content stand out. Our partners can also help the photography studio create a unified brand identity across all of its social media accounts. By working together, our studio and our partnered Social Media Agency can create unique and compelling content that will reach a broader audience and help the studio and more importantly its customers grow.

Really exciting times ahead for us at Frasershot Studios, in the last 2 years we have launched our new Film and Content company in Small Giants Media Ltd and now this new collaboration with adding in Social Media services really is the icing on the cake.

We look forward to updating our customers of our exciting new services in Jan 2023.
